Sebastian Juel, trading as "Myholidayhome" ("we"), is the data controller for personal data processed through myholidayhome.ai. Contact us at sebastian@juel.net.

What we collect and why

Account data (email address, password hash, login timestamps) — to create and secure your account and provide the Service. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.

Home and manual content (house name, location, the guest manual you upload) — to generate answers for your guests. Legal basis: contract. Please do not include other people's personal data in the manual.

Guest questions — sent to our AI provider to produce an answer. Guest conversations are not stored by us. Legal basis: legitimate interests in operating the Service.

Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the product. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Support messages — to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share data with

Service providers who host and operate the Service (cloud hosting, database and AI providers); Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing; professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers; and public authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside the EEA/UK. Where they do, transfers are covered by an adequacy decision or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

We keep account and manual data for as long as your account exists and for 30 days after deletion. Payment records are kept as long as bookkeeping law requires (typically 5 years). Technical logs are kept for up to 12 months. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to sebastian@juel.net and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your supervisory authority — in Denmark, Datatilsynet.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-account data isolation.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your language choice. We do not use advertising cookies. Paddle may set cookies during checkout as described in its own privacy notice.
